Belais Manufacturing Co.

Belais Manufacturing Co. operated in New York from the late 19th century until 1933. After some experimentation, David Belais presented his 18K white gold formula in 1917. A patent was applied for in 1918 and granted in 1920. Although Belais did not invent white gold, the company became one of its earliest successful American manufacturers and was known for finely crafted 18K white gold jewelry.
